Semi vs full auto bcg4/15/2023 So, I test fire a weapon, check spent shells and where they lean and thier mark on the brass deflector.īut, like a build a built the other day, was getting everything light including the bcg. Now, this area is extremely finicky and very hard to see what's going on.I had one a couple years ago.factory built had issues with the cycle rate.and that was a learning experience.īack on task.as you take away weight the cycle rate increases.if you get a light buffer, heavy spring, and a slightly large gas port in the bbl you'll be into the area of issues. More weight = slower and presumed less violent cycle rate.Īs some point your cycle rate will get fast enough that the bcg is coming forward before the next round has time to get pushed up.and will ftf.Īlso as the cycle rate gets too fast your spent casing will start becoming erratic. The mass consists of, bcg, buffer, and at a variable rate the action spring as well. Now with a heavier mass it will change both the cycle rate and in doing so cause a less abrupt movement of the whole mass. ![]() Your rifle cycles via gas pushing back on the gas key on your bcg.
